Earlier this year Vauxhall, lead sponsors of Home Nations Football, challenged popular Soccer AM presenter Tubes to pass his driving test in time to drive to France to support the home nations in Euro 2016.

Since then, Tubes has featured in a monthly YouTube series, Test Tubes, which will be tracking his progress throughout the year.

Tubes won’t be taking on the challenge alone, though – he will be given guidance by footballing talent along the way – former Liverpool and England winger John Barnes offered his advice in Tubes’ first lesson.

Tubes said: “At 33, I really should be able to drive. The dream would be to pass my test so I can follow the Home Nations in France next summer. They say that it gets harder to learn when you get older, but I am going to prove that idea wrong. Hopefully I don’t make any big errors, as everyone will see!”

He’s learning in a Vauxhall Corsa with the RED Driving School.
